- This project is an effort by the author to develop a systematic and helpful process for Disciple senior seminarians in making the transition from seminary to full-time pastorate. The project seeks to prepare students for the requirements and dynamics of ordination, relocation, interviewing, financial negotiation, responding to a call, ministerial ethics, and the first months in the resident pastorate. Four program goals include: 1. establish a data bank based on interviews with former students; 2. provide a resource center of relevant materials; 3. conduct six workshops to deal with aspects of the transition; 4. establish a course to be offered regularly in the seminary curriculum.
