- The objective of this project is the development and intended approval of a policy statement describing ministry to homosexuals in an evangelical congregation. The project is designed to incorporate and integrate the collective mind and heart of the church. A ten member consultation group will give critical input to the development and presentation of four sermons addressing the biblical themes of holiness, sexuality, and grace. A thirty member listening group will provide reaction to content and direction of the preached sermons. At the conclusion of the sermon series the project leader in dialogue with the consultation group will prepare and submit a proposed policy statement to the Elder Board and the Church Board for approval.
