Abstrakt

This is a study of prayer in senior adults to answer the question of whether a mathematical prayer device can stimulate prayer, as well as be an additional tool for pastoral care and spiritual formation. The ethnographic research method was used to study the control population at a retirement center to observe the participants and the way they were affected by the prayer device, qualitatively and quantitatively, as appropriate to their ability. The researcher found a positive correlation between the use of the prayer wheel and feelings of spiritual well being, inferring advantageous benefit for pastoral intervention.
