Abstract
  • Working from the concept that no organization will accommodate significant change until members recognize the urgent need for it, this project proposes to lead a largely traditional, highly complacent congregation to an appreciation and acceptance of change for the purpose of church growth through a one-day leadership training program, a series of Lenten sermons, accompanying personal study guides, and critical dialogue between pastor and parishioners. This project effort was largely successful in achieving its aim, primarily due to the multi-faceted, short-term nature of its design which itself suggested 'a sense of urgency' for its effective realization.
