This project proposes that fasting as a Christian discipline should be taught and modeled in local churches, leading members of a local congregation to understand and experience the value of fasting. In nine small-group sessions participants study biblical and practical aspects of fasting and then fast for a designated time. Each group member is paired with an accountability partner.
