Abstrakt

Marriages between Roman Catholics and Lutherans are very common and pastoral attention to them will intensify the faith of those involved and thereby strengthen the witness of the church in the world. The author considers the problems and opportunities for evangelism in his ministry with those in Roman Catholic/Lutheran ecumenical marriages. In so doing, he states his understandings of evangelism and ecumenism. He also compares Roman Catholic and Lutheran theologies of marriage and reviews the historic developments regarding such marriages.
