Abstrakt

The purpose of this project was to equip a selected group of members of the First Baptist Church of Bremen, Georgia, to incorporate solitude with God into their spiritual formation. Ten participants were trained through a five-session workshop that culminated with a weekend retreat. The workshop was entitled, 'Spiritual Formation through Solitude with God.' The workshop was based around the five areas of solitude: stillness, silence, sin, service, and speak. This equipping model project resulted in the development of a group of believers who are capable of spending extended times of solitude with God.
