Abstrakt

The context of this research is a suburban United Methodist church located in the second largest city in Indiana. The purpose of the research was to develop a five-week, small program to facilitate a healthy grief experience by teaching about the grief process and selected spiritual disciplines to integrate the participants back into the community of the church. Evaluation of the project is qualitative aided by entry and exit questionnaires, journal entries of the sessions, personal interviews of the participants and discussion with the assistant during the project implementation.
