  • Identity or mission: which will guide the Brethren in Christ into the twenty-first century
Abstrakt
  • The purpose of this study was to discover the convictions that guided the founders and early leaders of the Brethren in Christ (BIC) Church and to compare and contrast those convictions with the core values and beliefs of current BIC pastors and leaders. Through historical research related to the founding of the BIC Church and to the BIC's theological roots of Anabaptism and Pietism the author identified six foundational beliefs. The author also determined seven core values of current BIC pastors and leaders through the process of thirty-one interviews with pastors and denominational leaders within the BIC Church.
