Abstrakt

The author, an associate pastor at a suburban United Methodist Church, used the year before leaving due to 'right-sizing', to help the congregation face the future with creativity. Preaching and the study of Paul's rhetorical strategies helped elevate the rhetoric of change to a positive choice for all. Grounded in God's grace, the church can face any challenge without fear. Conflict turned into creativity when armed with information accessible to all church members, where to find it and how to read it.
