Abstrakt

This project develops a theology of evangelical stewardship in the congregation which emerged from the stewardship experiences and struggles of Epiphany Lutheran Church. This theology was constructed on the basis of the theology of Martin Luther and the Lutheran Confessions and on the basis of the stewardship programs developed at Epiphany Lutheran Church over two years. This project argues that there are certain objective characteristics which will be present in a congregational stewardship program that is evangelical, i.e., grounded in the gospel of justification by faith.
