Abstrakt

Creating a Culture of the Call in the Central Pennsylvania Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church addresses a serious clergy shortage in one United Methodist Annual Conference. The project paper defines a culture of the call as an environment in which all levels of the annual conference--local church, district committees on ministry, and annual conference--work in concert to help persons hear and respond to God's call. The project paper explores a breakdown in this culture within the Central Pennsylvania Annual Conference and provides specific interventions to create a culture of the call at all levels of the annual conference.
