Abstrakt

The purpose of this project was to equip a congregation for evangelism at the Mount Peiler Missionary Baptist Church, Starkville, Mississippi. Participants attended a four-week workshop that covered the mandate for evangelism, the meaning of evangelism, the method of evangelism, and the message of evangelism. Also, a series of four evangelistic sermons was preached during the 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship. A pre-test and post-test were administered. Each participant demonstrated attitudinal change in the areas covered in the equipping a congregation for evangelism workshop.
