- This project attempts to uncover an understanding of the problems and conflicts of the Hill First Baptist Church of Athens, Georgia, by considering the ideal concept of Christian fellowship. This was done to search out ways that would provide a vision for spiritual renewal and spur church growth. Christian fellowship was also used to establish a norm for Christian relationships. The fundamental issue of this aspect of the project dealt with the power structure of the church, how power issues hindered a partnership ministry, and caused people to be divided into separate groups. The primary focal point of this project was to address these issues by looking at images. 'The body of Christ' was utilized to emphasize that the separate groups were a part of the body of Christ. The concluding portion of this project stressed a partnership of ministry. Church members worked as partners because they recognized that Jesus had called them to community where there are different levels of ministry, but all persons are of equal value before God.
