Abstrakt

As the church changes in the 21st century, the 'emerging' church has often been in conflict with the mainline church. But both can learn from each other about 'who is our neighbor?,' about reaching out to the communities in which they live. Using qualitative research, involving feedback from church leaders conversant with both emerging and mainline churches, the writer has sought to discover new understandings of church, mission and neighbor.
