Abstrakt

"Dear Ones, Letters Along the Way" is a collection of epistolatory essays addressed to my children on the joys, heartaches, challenges, and spirituality of being a parent. The epistolatory form roots these essays in specific time and place and is therefore inherently incarnational and relational. These essays explore mental illness, pastoral work, inherited trauma, rage, and parenting in the context of a violent, racist, capitalist world undergoing climate catastrophe, while remaining convinced that God’s good and gracious presence is abundant in the most quotidian moments of our lives.
