Abstract
  • This modified case study was conducted to identify salient features within a prototype Africentric theological institute for youth that was assessed effective by adults and participating youth. These features were examined for implication for developing a model for an effective Africentric theological institute for youth. Theoretical and methodological triangulation were used; data were derived from the stakeholders' meetings and the youth's quantitative and qualitative appraisal of the prototype institute. The results identified seventeen salient features categorized as follows: input from stakeholders, recruitment and organizational processes and content. A conceptual model for an Africentric theological institute was developed.
