  • The purpose of this project is to develop a lay leader coaching strategy for the First Baptist Church of Friendswood, Texas. The project director researched the fields of ministry coaching and, along with the assistance of a Coaching Strategy Team, created a lay leader to lay leader coaching strategy. The project director implemented four elements in the development of the strategy: (1) investigated leadership development among the laity of the First Baptist Church of Friendswood to create a leadership development profile; (2) examined leadership development coaching models to determine best practices; (3) developed a lay-leader coaching strategy for the First Baptist Church of Friendswood, Texas; (4) presented the strategy to the leaders of First Baptist Church of Friendswood, Texas, for adoption. The actual implementation of the strategy is outside the scope of this project.
