Abstrakt

The purpose of this project was to enhance the leadership effectiveness of the staff of the Lake Arlington Baptist Church. In a six hour seminar and four weekly meetings the staff was introduced to the theory of situational leadership developed by Paul Hersey and Kenneth Blanchard. The author administered a pretest and posttest, to the staff and to a control group. Statistics from the tests indicated an increased leadership effectiveness in the experimental group and no change in the control group. Introducing the essentials of situational leadership can effect change in leader behavior.
