Abstracto

The purpose of the project was to develop an informed strategy to engage adult new members at First Baptist Church of Orlando in meaningful Christian service by connecting them to a ministry area consistent with their unique divine design. The research of applicable Scriptures, literary resources, and alternative programs resulted in the development of an informed strategy. To implement the strategy a variety of tasks had to be accomplished: the development of a study guide for use in a discovery workshop, the completion of ministry descriptions for positions in the church, the development of self-assessments, and the training of laity to conduct post-workshop interviews for referral and placement. The project director accomplished these tasks during the course of the project.
