  • The purpose of the project was to develop an informed strategy to engage adult new members at First Baptist Church of Orlando in meaningful Christian service by connecting them to a ministry area consistent with their unique divine design. The research of applicable Scriptures, literary resources, and alternative programs resulted in the development of an informed strategy. To implement the strategy a variety of tasks had to be accomplished: the development of a study guide for use in a discovery workshop, the completion of ministry descriptions for positions in the church, the development of self-assessments, and the training of laity to conduct post-workshop interviews for referral and placement. The project director accomplished these tasks during the course of the project.
