Abstrakt

Methodology: Quantitative data provides the basis for an exegesis of the postmodern French youth culture. The author distills principles from his qualitative interviews with seventeen evangelists and church planters focusing on French youth. French examples of church models frame the findings. Conclusions: The period of 'youth' (ages 15-29) is a propitious time for sharing the gospel; non-charismatic evangelicals need an experiential theology of emotion; apostles need to enter the postmodern youth culture; believers can establish rapport through shared tribal interests; paths toward pertinent forms for youth can be reconstructed by embodying biblical metaphors in extant social groupings like postmodern tribes.
