  • Finding a 'right' way to teach confirmation class has been a subject of debate for Presbyterians. This project is an experiment in using current technology and development research to create a confirmation curriculum which is appropriate and appealing to sixth-graders while upholding the polity of the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the theology of the Reformed tradition. The project combines biblical themes of alienation and transformation with popular culture portrayals of the outsider as mutant. It meshes internet, study, and class meetings to create a mystery for students to investigate and from which to emerge with a new identity in Christ.
