Abstrakt

After being approached to review the need for additional deacon training by several pastors, this need was tested by the project leader. The initial research and review was accomplished through interviews and pastoral as well as church input, and through biblical study and insight, the need for additional training was evident. As a result of this investigation, the conclusion was reached that the project leader would develop a six-month deacon leadership model. In summary, the goal of this project to assist prospective deacons in discovering their true ministerial calling was reached. Prospective deacons gained knowledge and understanding of scripture.
