  • This thesis-project utilizes Latin@ theologies to provide direction and critical insight in assessing and reimagining institutional self-representation at four year, Catholic Hispanic-serving institutions (HSI) in the United States of America. Using a methodology developed from Latin@ theologies and the tool of web ethnography, the author studies the web and social media sites of four HSIs in different geographic regions. Critical pedagogies and LatCrit theory provide lenses to evaluate the data gathered through web ethnographies. Latin@ theologies constructively to interpret that data and point toward best practices to re-image what it means for a Catholic university to be a HSI.
