- Interpresonal behavior plays a significant role in leadership effectiveness. In his book Good to Great, Jim Collins observes how effective leaders demonstrate a paradoxical blend of professional will and personal humility. This same paradox is reflected in Jesus' grace-giving, truth-telling leadership. He perfectly modeled how to relate to people redemptively while not compromising in matters of truth and righteousness. This project details a process for enhancing leadership effectiveness by cultivating self-awareness among church leaders in regard to professional will and personal humility. A survey of literature and scripture is included, as well as tools for cultivating effective interpersonal leadership behavior.
