Abstrakt

The research problem was directed toward the reduction of anxiety in graduating high school seniors at Owatonna Christian School concerning post-high school plans through a student intervention counseling program. The research design procedure follows the nonrandomized control-group pretest-posttest design delineated from the Handbook in research and evaluation. The research results indicated that there was no difference between the two groups concerning immediate feelings about post-high school plans (state anxiety). But comparison of the post-test trait anxiety means indicated that the experimental group perceived post-high school situations as less threatening than the control group.
