- Abstract
- How can the dual roles of campus minister and educator be articulated so as to bring the resources of both roles to bear upon the undergraduate educational experience? Employing a process model of theological reflection, the project identifies three foundations for the campus minister-educator's articulated role: (1) the promoting of critical skills, (2) the development and sustaining of community, and (3) the promoting of imagination. These three elements are analyzed and then translated in two ways: (1) imaginatively, by using the scriptural narrative of the Samaritan woman at the well, and (2) practically, by applying this analysis to an undergraduate course in Christian humanism.
