  • This project thesis involves parish-school relations in an Episcopal parish day school. The act of ministry provided two opportunities to educate parishioners about their parish day school and about Episcopal schools in order to increase support for the school as a ministry of the parish. Quantitative and qualitative assessments were made through surveys and a focus group. These assessments suggest that providing opportunities to welcome and educate parishioners about their parish school can increase support for the school and improve the school-parish relationship. The theological foundation incorporates the missio dei, hospitality, and the Trinity. Social Science foundation includes organizational theory about institutions and communities and the role of leaders as agents of connection.
