  • This research sought to examine and nurture Christian community. It first explored the thread of 'community' throughout Scriptures, from the relational Triune Creator (Genesis 1) to the final community of faith (Revelation). Touching the OT faith community, this thread passed through Jesus' life and teaching before focusing upon the NT church and the 'one-another' commands. This research asked (and answered affirmatively) whether a local church, immersed in a culture of individualism, could achieve a measurable increase in its experience of Christian community by means of a strategic focus on the 'one-anothers' through instruction and accountability groups.
