  • The project leader used three of Paul's sermons to develop a model for training church members. The contextual nature of each sermon was utilized as a basis for addressing the spiritual needs of those within the emerging culture. In a series of six sermons, the project leader dealt exegetically with the Acts texts and made applications to postmodern traits. Concurrent to the project leader's preaching, a focus group met for ten weeks to explore postmodernity and to assimilate a training manual. The training manual was then used to lead a church retreat focused on missional engagement with postmoderns.
