  • The purpose of this project was to equip selected members in the congregation of First Baptist Church, Clinton, Mississippi, to lead a greeter ministry. Training included four instructional sessions that the project director led in four successive weeks. The selected members completed follow-up assignments for personal application. Through the initial training session, a PowerPoint presentation illustrated the importance of a greeter ministry. Session two explored foundational elements of the greeter ministry and the greeter lead team responsibilities. Session three included role playing, a detailed tour of the church property and facilities, and the use of church map identification. In session four the selected members received information that prepared them to share with guests and expanded knowledge of First Baptist Church, Clinton.
