- This project proposes that the historical and theological experience of African Americans is an experience of critical and corrective reflection on crises in society. This historical context of black religious thought is essential to empower ministry and to engage issues that impede holistic living. Knowledge of this past can be a resource for development of meaningful images of self, providing concepts that influence self-determination.
