  • The project was designed to give the author and the adult members of the First Baptist Church of Hamilton an enhanced understanding of Baptist heritage issues related to the current Southern Baptist Convention conflict. This involved a four-week teaching seminar of approximately eight hours of study. For seminar evaluation a pretest, posttest method was used. The format of the pretest followed the Likert Response method and was intended to measure opinions, understanding, and attitudes of the seminar participants. The format of the posttest followed the Concept Evaluation method and some general questions of evaluation in the Likert Response method. The pretest results generally revealed very little knowledge or understanding of important Baptist heritage issues. Posttest results were very positive and revealed substantive learning by most of the seminar participants.
