  • The author addressed self-esteem and values as a means of improving the behavior of institutionalized juvenile delinquents. The program was conducted over an eight-week period with ten participants. The author's position is that self-esteem, values, and behavior exist in an interactional relationship and that behavior which is consistent with positive values will produce healthy self-esteem. Although pretest and posttest scores showed no improvement, student evaluations indicated a high level of impact.
